My Thoughts on My Tigers

Okay, since I live in SEC country & am married to Marty Martin I think that makes me a perfect person to weigh in on the AU Tigers.
First, let me just tell you that I LOVE AUBURN! I love that my boy is waiting for the phone to ring & Coach Chizik tells him which room is his in the athletic dorm & which number he will be. I love that they play Bo JAckson vs. Cam Newton when they play football. I love it that they play football wherever they go (doesn't everyone say "Hut, hut 54, 28 36!" in the line at Publix??)
Secondly, as much as I love Cam Newton, if Cam Newton did something he shouldn't have then he needs to be punished.
Thirdly, if his dad did something he shouldn't have done then he needs to pay his dues. I feel sorry for Cam (yes, sure we are on a first name basis) I have never been disappointed in my dad & I cannot imagine how that must hurt.
To put my 2nd & 3rd points together - I am quite behind in the news & will stand with AU & Cam. However, if any of this stuff is true I am like a court of law & need good hard evidence, not just so&so told so&so.
What was up with the fighting at the end of the game??
Boys, there were little boys watching & you were not setting a good example. I do not care if Ga. did something first you are still responsible for your own actions. (spoken like a true mommy)
Football is different when you are a mommy. I truly worry when someone gets hurt. I pray & cry & I pray for their mom as well. If they stay down too long I always look around to see if there mom is around. I watch how people act on the sidelines. I watch the coaches to see if they look like they are being encouraging to their players.
Right now, Whitty is sitting on the floor with his cast on his foot playing with his AU football men & they are having to stop & pray b/c someone got hurt. PRECIOUS!
Yes, my baby has his first cast. He hurt his foot when he was playing with his siblings & cousins & when I heard the cries from the next room, everyone was laying on the floor around him laughing & he was screaming. Best guess was they all went down & he went down on his own foot. But of course we picked a blue cast =)
Now that you have my opinion on AU football & since I know that all the AU coaches read this blog - everyone can make the right decision.

So Many Things . . .

So many things have happened . . . So many things good things & so many hard things. So many things that we cannot explain & things we saw coming years ago. So many people & so many places. This momma's heart has had to learn to watch them fly & soar. I keep thinking back to what my Daddy said at our wedding " . . . you give your children roots & wings." It is hard to give them roots that run deep & how you instill true values in them. It is also hard to watch them open their wings ready to soar. They are soaring! They are learning SOOO much & watching these adventures is a true gift. I know one day I will look back as this being a great joy of my life. I am experiencing hurt but it is amidst such beauty & growth. My baby girl has started to fly & she is flying strong. As soon as she started off on her journey she hit a few unexpected bumps & she took a minute, re-grouped & then just kept on going. She was strong & brave. S
