Go Rebels!

Watch out world she can cheer & she loves it! Bay cheered with some of her sweet friends last night at the high school basketball game. We have entered a whole new world. She has wanted to be a cheerleader since she was 1 & now she wants it even more. She was great! She may even be good to those observers who were not her very biased mommy. One day we may see these cheerleaders on the AU sidelines. Bay & the boys were wondering why she was cheering for the Rebels (thinking they had accidentally gone to an Ole Miss school) but I assured them that the Vestavia Hills Rebels were OK to cheer for since this is where they will be going to high school a LONG time from now. We are staying home today & Bay & I will be watching Miss America tonight - GIRL TIME! We started this last year & my mom was able to join us - we will eat sweets & girlie foods & probably pink foods & pull for Miss Alabama, or whoever state we know that makes it into the Top 10. We hav

God Bless the USA

I have to be honest - this is not a blog about my absolutely beautiful kiddos. It is about our country: I also have to be honest that I am not watching the "State of the Union" - it is on in the background. I just wanted to remind everyone that whether or not we agree with everything that is said tonight - it is our responsibility to PRAY for our President. Pray for wisdom & Godly counsel. I also want to mention my sweet mommy & her email to me today: "Laus Deo" This phrase is on the top of the Washington Monument meaning "Prasie be to God." If I did not forward this to you let me know & I will get you this fabulous "history lesson" about the first leaders of our country & their reliance on the One True God. I believe that every American should know this info, especially every Christian American. A quick SORRY to my Papaw Shults. I love you & have not forgotten your birthday, but have not gotten a picture of my absolutel

Sweet Noises

Okay it is a few minutes after one in the afternoon & Whitty is supposed to be upstairs taking a nap - instead he is singing the AU fight song. This has been going on for about 10 minutes. He is too cute! Baylor took a cheerleading clinic on Saturday & will cheer at a Vestavia High School basketball game on Friday night - GO REBELS! She LOVED it! I will let you know how it goes. We may be entering a whole new world. Last Friday she got 105% on her spelling test!! William is getting smarter & cuter everyday. I asked if he wanted to work on writing his name & he said he knows "W" & that is all he needs. Having fun! I will post cheerleading pics this weekend. His Child, Jocelyn

I love having a girl!

I love having a girl! I love ballet & dolls. I love movies & pink toenails. I love pink! I DO NOT love backtalk & sassy mouths =( I was told 2 times today that I had ruined her life. I never knew that making someone decide between pretzels or M&Ms to take to the 101st day of school party could be so traumatizing?? Evidently it is. Bay is precious - straight from heaven above. She loves God, her brothers, her Daddy & pink. Her Mommy is not her favortite person right now, but that could change at the drop of a hat. Someone was laughing at me at church tonight & said, "Just wait til she is a teenager." I am not sure I am going to be able to handle that. BUT that is ok because God will handle it for me. He will give me patience & love, great ideas for the crazy moments & He will give me those special moments when you look at your child & just sit in awe of their amazing personalities. Well, tomorrow we are taking pretzels to school &

Waiting . . .

It is midnight on Thursday & am waiting on the laundry fairy to show up. So if she has accidentally gone to your house please send her to my house - I beg you! One more load to be changed over & then I will finish folding tomorrow. Sweet Whity has a yucky cold so he has been staying close to Mommy. He wants to snuggle all day & sleep all night - what more could I ask for? Oh yeah - the laundry fairy. His Child, Jocelyn

Flutes & Yadies

I asked SUPER-DAD for a few minutes to write this before I forget: 2 cute things were said at dinner tonight: Baylor was talking about the probability of taking a bath tonight & said, " I don't need one I am as clean as a flute:)" Secondly, I was laughing at the fact that Whitt will say anything you ask him to. I was making him say things like "I love my mommy. . ." Marty decided to be funny & said, "Whitt say I love the ladies." Whitt smiled a chocolatey smile & said "Ohh dais yadies" My kids are too cute. His Child, Jocelyn P.S. They will get baths tonight as they all have chocolate smiles.

The Day of the Blizzard 2010: Part 1

The day started out with the excitement of the snow. School would be out at 11:30 AM! I started the morning cleaning because: 1. I have been reading a new book & have not cleaned in 2 days & 2. there was a small possibility of a VBS meeting at my house this morning. The boys built my friend Julie a beauitful Lego decoration for her to admire on the dining room table while we met about VBS. Of course, we soon found Whitt under the dining room table taking apart the decor. With school getting out early we decided not to meet & the boys & I bundled up & went on a hot cocoa run! We were the FIRST IN CARPOOL today! The boys have always wanted to do that. We picked sissy up & hurried home to find that 2 or 3 flakes had not melted. The boys ate a hurried lunch & then they bundled up to find ice in what was a sandbox. They "skated" for a few minutes then we came inside, unbundled & had hot cocoa in front of a fire. Now, the boys are resting & Bay &

Pictures!

Look at the Birthday boys blue lips! Sweet cousin Ruby added tons of fun to the slumber party! The cake was decorated by my 3 kiddos - it is the most beautiful cake ever!

Birthday Boy!!

William is 4! I cannot believe how fast time flies by. I wish they could stay little forever, but I am torn because I am also dying to see what God has in store for my little blessings. I know they all have exciting futures ahead of them & I am thrilled for the privilege to be on this journey with them. Back to William: We are spreading his birthday out a little bit to seperate it from Christmas. We are having cake & ice cream here at home & he gets to pick out all the food for the day. He opened presents this AM, but we are having a joint family birthday with Uncle John & Moppy next Sunday & then the next week I am taking William & some of his SWEET friends to an indoor play place. William has the best little group of friends! They are boys who love being boys, but who are caring & compassionate towards others. I love this boy. He is so kind & caring. 4 years ago I remember thinking I had contractions for a week & needed to wait for the AU b
