This is how it goes

The picture on the left with my 3 sweeties on the stairs was one of my smartest mommy moves yet. Let me explain . . . as a mom of 3 talkative kiddos I hear many pleas of injustice (aka tattling) they all seem to be something of the utm
most importance so after many quiet moments while they were playing upstairs I heard it ending, I heard small tears (those that you know are purely for show) & then I heard the sibling to blame for those tears begging for him not to come tell me what happen. So as they all came down the stairs I asked them to stop so I could take a picture. Notice in the picture there are NO tears & everyone is smiling. This happened in a matter of seconds - amazing. So I am not sure what happen, but it was forgotten & no one tattled or got in trouble or passed blame. They were friends. So whatever this unknown incident was it is taken care of & I did not have to get mad at anyone. (At least it is taken care of until it comes up in therapy 25 years down the road from now.)
The picture on the right is of my 2 boys & cousin Thomas a.k.a "T" on their way to school. No, we do not walk, I need the stroller so I can keep up with three active boys amongst the other mommies trying to keep up with their active kiddos. We have too much fun!
Sweet Bay has not been feeling well this weekend & we hope she is better by Tuesday to go on a field trip.
For those of you who read my blog post about prayers needed (www.laylagrace.org) - prayers are still needed as this sweet little girl is still hanging on & her parents are praying continuously.
His Child, Jocelyn

So Many Things . . .

So many things have happened . . . So many things good things & so many hard things. So many things that we cannot explain & things we saw coming years ago. So many people & so many places. This momma's heart has had to learn to watch them fly & soar. I keep thinking back to what my Daddy said at our wedding " . . . you give your children roots & wings." It is hard to give them roots that run deep & how you instill true values in them. It is also hard to watch them open their wings ready to soar. They are soaring! They are learning SOOO much & watching these adventures is a true gift. I know one day I will look back as this being a great joy of my life. I am experiencing hurt but it is amidst such beauty & growth. My baby girl has started to fly & she is flying strong. As soon as she started off on her journey she hit a few unexpected bumps & she took a minute, re-grouped & then just kept on going. She was strong & brave. S
