My Girl

My girl is AMAZING!
She decided a long time ago that she wanted to sing a solo in the 5th grade Variety Show & today she did!
She sang a beautiful song about the truths of Calvary.  She sang it like she meant it.
She did not seem nervous, she did not question herself.  She was confident & ready to go.
I always prayed she would have self-confidence - God answered!  I did not have any confidence as a kid & help myself back, but not my girl - she let everyone know what she believed in!
She is headed to middle school in a few months & is ready to take it by storm.  She is talking about running for office & what she is going to do & then her plans for everything else.\
Watch out world here she comes!

(I am sorry I am a bad camera momma, I was crying & have a bad phone.  She was beautiful with lip gloss & curled hair & a pink & white dress.)

 So many things have happened . . . So many things good things & so many hard things. So many things that we cannot explain & things we saw coming years ago. So many people & so many places. This momma's heart has had to learn to watch them fly & soar. I keep thinking back to what my Daddy said at our wedding " . . . you give your children roots & wings." Happy New Year 2025!

 Well, the end of 2024 caught us a little off-guard. So I am little late . . .  2024 started off with WFM5 turning 18! CRAZY! In the middle of 2024 Bay turned 21! CRAZY! Whitty is 17 & Baby Lee is in middle school! CRAZY! How can they be this old? How can 2 live in another city? How can the hubby be 50??! We had a lot of fun this year, we traveled & tailgated. We laughed & laughed some more.  We also grew this year inside & out, in times of tears & joy. We lost our sweet friend - Kim Haynes, our Auntie Kim. We had moments of telling her daughter that Mommy went to Heaven, we had hard conversations & times to say goodbye.  We had times of telling EK how wonderful her momma was. 2024 also sent another to AUBURN! Momma may have cried the whole way home. But to see him thrive brought Momma such joy.  Baylor (21) is studying education at AU & is having a blast with her cute friends, in her cute house.
