New Year's Eve 2012

Well, Christmas has come & gone.  We have enjoyed many times of opening gifts & worn out our welcome at both sets of grandparents - not really possible =)
I have taken it easy this year, but promise to make up for it in years to come.  I knew if I was going to survive I would have to just let others do some things for me so I could avoid a breakdown.  The post-partum "blah" has been a little easier to curb this time around - a true answer to prayer.  God has truly shown me HIS love for me in this.  Thankfully my mom & mom-in-law understood I needed to lay low & they were huge helpers.
Once again Cousin Lisa found the gifts with the most pieces - Congratulations!
We were completely spoiled!
The kids think they can stay up to midnight tonight, but we shall see.  I told them if they were not watching football with Daddy then they could play quietly upstairs.  They will have to lay down & read in a little bit - we will see if they last until 12.
I have read a few blogs that have done a "year in review" post.  I am not sure I am up for a month-by-month  review - I am not thinking that clearly.  BUT . . . a few thoughts . . .
1. This was the hardest pregnancy, but I feel guilty when I say that  because I have heard of worse.  It was hard for me at this time with 3 other kiddos & a hard-working hubby.
2. This has been a year of growth not just for our family, but for me personally as a mommy.  Some of the things I juggled brought me too my knees more - of course praying is never bad.
3. Losing 2 grandmothers in 3 weeks threw me for a loop!  God drew me close to HIM, but I pray you do not have to experience that.  I missed them more after the baby came when I picked up the phone to call them & tell them he was here & I had to set it down.  I missed them when I was sending Christmas cards & wrapping gifts & had to set theirs aside.
4. A NEW BABY!  Every child is a blessing!  Baby Lee you are loved!  Thank you for being a good sleeper!

5.  Our sweet #4 has made me more in love with SuperHubby - he is AWESOME!  He steps up to the plate everyday!

What will 2013 hold for our family?  I have NO IDEA - usually I have something planned, but I am stating this year with plans to be a better wife & mother, but not sure what that will entail.  I do know that Jeremiah 29:11 - 13 is TRUE & REAL.  I do know God is sovereign & HE IS GOOD.  He loves my family & will bless them.
Happy New Year from our family to yours!

Happy New Year 2025!

Well, the end of 2024 caught us a little off-guard. So I am little late . . .  2024 started off with WFM5 turning 18! CRAZY! In the middle of 2024 Bay turned 21! CRAZY! Whitty is 17 & Baby Lee is in middle school! CRAZY! How can they be this old? How can 2 live in another city? How can the hubby be 50??! We had a lot of fun this year, we traveled & tailgated. We laughed & laughed some more.  We also grew this year inside & out, in times of tears & joy. We lost our sweet friend - Kim Haynes, our Auntie Kim. We had moments of telling her daughter that Mommy went to Heaven, we had hard conversations & times to say goodbye.  We had times of telling EK how wonderful her momma was. 2024 also sent another to AUBURN! Momma may have cried the whole way home. But to see him thrive brought Momma such joy.  Baylor (21) is studying education at AU & is having a blast with her cute friends, in her cute house. She stays busy with schools, concerts ...

HOW???

How is it time for Summer? How are we buying teacher gifts? How have I registered my baby girl for her senior year of high school? How have we had 5 days of soccer try-outs & we are only halfway through? How are we scheduling senior portraits & ordering senior jerseys? How are 2 of them taller than me with bigger feet? How do they make their own plans & inform me of what they are? How do we have 1.5 drivers at our house? How do they stay up later than me? How is all this happening so fast? HOW?
