Happy Mommy Day!



Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mommies out there!  I am spending mine at home because we had a sick little one last night & I wanted to keep him at home today - but hey, I enjoyed my 1 year+ stint of not going to the ER.  Last night was just a 4 hour trip to the Children's Hospital for Whitty.  We are in the clear for anything bad - once again us Martins stumped the doctors.  Prayers is the only explanation - the ONLY one.
The above picture is of my mommy, but I know most of you out there know she was supermom & still is.  I think she relishes her role as Moppy she always seems so excited to pick them up for a date & still excited when she drops them off.  SHe even shows up to help with sick babies & mommies with a smile on her face & a cup of StarBucks in her hand.  My mother-in-law planned the perfect mother's day & left town without any grandkids - smart woman.  Did I ever mention that my kids are stumped anytime my in-laws travel without us as to why they would want to travel without us ??  I tell them for sanity sake!  I better go call grandmothers & wish them a happy mother's day because nothing made it in the mail.

Christmas Letter 2023

Merry Christmas! How are we here?       How has this year gone by so fast?            How is it almost 2024? I can tell you how . . . because there are 4 kids (in 2 cities), 1 dad (sometimes traveling for work), 1 mom & her minivan, multiple teams, multiple schools & 1 cute puppy. Whew!! Baylor is 20 & LOVING her apartment life in Auburn! She is studying hard & keeps a busy schedule with tailgating, church events & general TALKING with friends. She is doing some babysitting & pre-teaching over her Christmas break & some more TALKING with friends. William will be 18 any day now! He just made the Men's Soccer Varsity squad for his Senior year & so that makes the 3rd team of this year! He will be joining big sister in Auburn come August & I am sure his dorm room will be a little less complicated. He is half-way through his Senior year & doing well in school. Happy New Year 2025!

 Well, the end of 2024 caught us a little off-guard. So I am little late . . .  2024 started off with WFM5 turning 18! CRAZY! In the middle of 2024 Bay turned 21! CRAZY! Whitty is 17 & Baby Lee is in middle school! CRAZY! How can they be this old? How can 2 live in another city? How can the hubby be 50??! We had a lot of fun this year, we traveled & tailgated. We laughed & laughed some more.  We also grew this year inside & out, in times of tears & joy. We lost our sweet friend - Kim Haynes, our Auntie Kim. We had moments of telling her daughter that Mommy went to Heaven, we had hard conversations & times to say goodbye.  We had times of telling EK how wonderful her momma was. 2024 also sent another to AUBURN! Momma may have cried the whole way home. But to see him thrive brought Momma such joy.  Baylor (21) is studying education at AU & is having a blast with her cute friends, in her cute house.
